About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Lido Pool

Chester

Built right into the edge of Chester's back harbour, the Lido Pool has been delighting families for generations. Located on the Chester waterfront behind the Public Washroom on Parade Square between the Yacht Club and the outer back harbour.

The friendly steps in and gradual depth make it the perfect pool for all ages and skill levels. The pool is a blend of salt water and chlorinated water.

Public swims are free. There's a lifeguard on duty, washrooms for changing, and benches to take in the stellar view.

No pets allowed.

Mon-Fri 12pm-2pm and 5pm-8pm
Sat-Sun 12pm-8pm
