Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. Fox Point Beach

Hubbards

A short drive down Hwy 329 leads you to Fox Point Beach just outside of Hubbards. Approximately 700 ft long, the cove is a great spot for a quick swim or to spend the afternoon.

Check the tides before you head out. When the tide is high most of the beach is covered by water.

Parking is available on site. This is a popular spot in the Summer months.
