About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

A short drive down Hwy 329 in Hubbards is the Aspotogan Ridge Golf Club. Currently offering 9 holes.

The Golf Course is designed by Atlantic Canada’s leading golf course architect, Robert LeBlanc, the course beautifully showcases the rolling wooded area and features inland lakes, rolling plains, meadows, river valleys and granite outcroppings.

You can also enjoy a bite to eat at Parkwood Grill.
