You're Invited to Literary Readings

Black Harbour Distillery (located 419 Hwy 329, Fox Point, Hubbards) is hosting the second monthly Literary Readings and Q&A today from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Well-known Nova Scotia writer Philip Moscovitch, from Glen Margaret – author of Adventures in Bubbles and Brine – will MC this event. Authors and poets will read from their works, followed by a Q&A. Authors will have a book available for signing and purchase. This event is FREE, and all are welcome to attend this family event. COVID protocols will be in place at this event - masks to be worn & proof of full vaccination required.

Visiting authors include these:

Carole Glasser Langille – reading from Doing Time: Writing Workshops in Prison published by Pottersfield Press. Carole is the author of four books of poetry, two collections of short stories, and two children's books.

Suzanne Atkinson – reading from her Nova Scotia Stella Kirk Mystery Series. Published through the lpsabooks imprint – she is also an independent publisher, with books distributed by Ingram to the trade.

Cory Lavender – will give a “spirited reading” from his poetic works. His poetic works have been published in Riddle Fence, Halifax (Frog Hollow Press), Gaspereau Press and online at The Island Review.

Glenda Joy Pennell – Singer/songwriter performing from her CD Muddy Waters – all original lyrics.

Danielle Metcalfe Chenail, new to Nova Scotia, is currently writing women’s fiction. Danielle will read excerpts from her works published by Robin Brass Studio, Dundurn, Brindle & Glass/Touchwood Editions and Tundra Books.
