Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Join us for our Woolly Weekend, from Saturday, May 17th, to Monday, May 19th. Spring has arrived, and the sheep at Ross Farm Museum have given birth to their lambs, and it is now ready for their annual shearing. During this event, there will be demonstrations of sheep shearing, as well as washing and spinning wool. You can also learn about the significance of woollen yarn and how it was historically used to create fabric for clothing.
