About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. Watercolour Cartography with Peggy McCalla at the Chester Art Centre (60 Queen Street) from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Cartography includes the colouration of maps. Try something different with watercolours – both coloured pencils and assorted watercolurs and brushes will be available. Cost $30 for 2 mornings or $20 for 1 morning.
