About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Twas the Month Before Christmas Market at the Chester Area Middle School Gym (204 Duke Street) from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. 60 Amazing Vendors, Food Trucks, Face Painting. Admission: by donation (to be donated to the CAMS Breakfast Program). Kids Zone: Coloring Table, Cookie Decorating, Letters to Santa. Pictures with Santa from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Brought to you by Curbsider Markets. Locals supporting Locals.
