Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Touch-a-Truck event at Forest Heights Community School, 847 Hwy 12, Chester Basin from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.  There will be a BBQ and Carnival Games.  The Touch-a-Truck fundraising event is a community wide event where kids (and adults) can see, touch, interact with, and learn about lots of cool vehicles!  Sponsored by the Chester Basin Fire Department, Chester Basin Fire Auxiliary and the Municipality of Chester.  Raindate:  Sunday, July 15.
