About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

TGIF is back at the Chester Basin Legion. Tonight enjoy Lasagna, Caesar Salad, Garlic Toast and Dessert. The cost is $15 (cash only). Pre-order by Wednesday each week by calling Nat 902-273-2341 or Danette 902-531-2402. Pickup at Chester Basin Legion starting at 5:00 pm on Fridays. Every week will be a different menu – check out our Facebook page to see what is on the menu for the week.
