STAMPEX18, THE ANNUAL SHOUTH SHORE STAMP CLUB EXHIBITION & AUCTION

Stampex18, the annual South Shore Stamp Club Exhibition and Auction will be held at Michelin Social Club, 221 Logan Road, Bridgewater from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Special presentations: 11:00 am - 1939 Royal Visit, by Brainard Fitzgerald showing some of the philatelic material generated by the visit; 12:00 noon - World War 1 – MESSAGES HOME IN SILK by Doreen Fitzgerald. This type of postcard is fascinating in that they are little works of art. The workmanship and beauty of these little bits of history is intriguing and goes in to the detail about the history and types giving an insight in to the story of the embroidered silk postcard. A stamp auction will be held at 12:30 pm. Exhibits will include both postage stamps and postal history.  Stamp dealers will be present. Admission is free.
