Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Ross Farm Fall 5K Run and Walk at Ross Farm Museum (4568 Hwy 12, New Ross).  Fun for all Ages! (Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult).  Explore the natural beauty of the Farm on its trails with Fall as your backdrop. Participation Medal and treat for participants.  Race Day Registration 10:00 am.  Race start time 11:00 am.  Cost $10.  Pre-register with Gord Tate, Race Coordinator at 902-275-3490 or recreation@chester.ca.  Prizes and refreshments to cap it off.
