About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Roast Beef Dinner at the Hubbards Area Lions Club from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Enjoy slow-roasted beef served with mashed potatoes and vegetables, au jus, and shortbread-based pie squares for dessert. This event is eat-in and take-out is available. Please pre-order for both no later than Wednesday, April 24 at 6:00 pm with Lion Louella Regan at 902-857-9714 to ensure availability. Tea/coffee, 50/50 and cash bar available with dine in. Cost is $16.
