About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Roast Beef Dinner at the Chester United Baptist Church from 4:30 to 6:00 pm to raise funds for general expenses of the Starfish II Project. George Evans (Board Member Starfish II) will be doing the cooking. We are looking for volunteers to help prep, set up the Hall, serve and clean-up. Donations of pies are accepted. We need 14 in total. Also, anyone willing to donate funds for the cost of supplies would be greatly appreciated. Tickets: Adults $20 and Children (8 and under) $10.
