Playhouse at Parade Square

Our annual summer concert transforms!  Join us as we move this beloved afternoon community event to the Chester Bandstand at Parade Square, and welcome three fantastic acts that you already love, or will soon!

Kicking off the afternoon is Chester’s own two-time Juno Award-winning singer-songwriter and banjo player Old Man Luedecke, with his solo folk/country songs that will charm and delight.

Fresh from his performance at Gold River Community Centre the night before, ECMA-nominated Mi’kmaq fiddler and singer Morgan Toney brings together the fiery fiddling of Cape Breton Island with the traditional songs of the Mi’kmaq people, with brilliance and heart.

Casual Cries for Help is an emerging pop-rock band from Halifax, who had people dancing in the streets at last year’s Playhouse on Pleasant.  Enjoy their joyful, harmony-filled original songs, and dance the afternoon away!

Bring a launch chair or a blanket, be prepared for a few surprises, and join us as we celebrate the summer outside in the heart of Chester!

Tickets are available at chesterplayhouse.ca or call (902) 275-3933
