About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Our Songwriters (A Benefit Concert for Musical Friends) at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, 54 Regents Street in Chester starting 7:00 pm. Featuring: Morgan Cruikshank, Morgan Davis, Jim Henman, Jamie Junger, Old Man Luedecke, Laura Smith, Amy Vinnedge, Patricia (Pat) Watson with Musical Friends and the Studio Singers. Price: Pay What You Can (all proceeds go to the free Musical Friends programs). Charitable Receipts available for donations of $20 or more.
