About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

New Years Day Levee at the Hubbards Area Lions Club, Fox Point from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. Kick off the New Year at this family friendly event. Enjoy food and refreshments. All are welcome and free to attend. Cash bar available and musical entertainment by “Five Days In May”. Hosted by the Hubbards & Area Business Association and the Hubbards Area Lions Club and sponsored by Aspotogan Heritage Trust. Donations to the Lions Club greatly appreciated.
