About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

New Year's Day Levee

Please join us with ringing in the New Year with snacks, conversation, and enjoyable entertainment.

Music is from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. with SAS Steve Cochrane, Aaron Warren, and Scott Redden.

No cover charge. Please bring finger food to share. Bar open. A draw for a free 2027 Legion Br. 79 membership will be held!
