Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. New Year’s Day Levee at the New Ross Legion starting 1:00 pm. Finger Food provided and bar open. Music from 2:00 to 5:00 pm by Ricky Naugler & Friends. No admission and all welcome.
