About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

New Year’s Dance at the Blandford Community Centre. Doors open 9:00 pm. Live Music from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am with music by “Beaver & Tails featuring Danny Banfield and Darlene Guite”. Tickets in advance $20 or $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at Blandford Marine or by emailing Darlene Guite at: darlene@dannybanfield.com. Cash or Etransfer only.
