Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

New Ross Legion Invites you to Celebrate CANADA DAY. The Legion will be open from 4:00 to 9:30 pm including the bar.  Opening Ceremony 4:00 pm.  Live Music 4:30 to 5:00 pm with Tyler Knockwood-Corbin; 5:30 to 6:15 pm with Aaron Warren and 6:30 to 9:30 pm with “The Upbeats”.  10:00 pm Fireworks in the field behind the Post office.  Raindate for Fireworks is Saturday, July 2, same time.  There will be Face Painting and Fish Pond for the kids.  Cupcakes, Hot Dogs and Hamburgers will be available.
