About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Music & Auction Fundraiser at the New Ross Legion starting 7:00 pm. Enjoy an evening of music and a live auction. Bid on a variety of new items, baked goods, gift baskets & certificates. Canteen available. Free-will offer appreciated at the door! All ages welcome. This is a fundraiser for the St. James Anglican Cemetery, located in Aaldersville.
