Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Mother’s Day Pie Sale at the Hubbards Area Lions Club. Treat mom to dessert for Mother’s Day. Pre-order your choice of apple, lemon, coconut cream or chocolate pie by Wednesday, May 8 with Lion Louella Regan at 902-857-9714. The cost is $12 per pie. Pick-up between 2:00 and 3:00 pm. When you order, you will be given a number and entered to win a Mother’s Day basket of goodies.
