About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

SOLD OUT Mayfly Dance at the New Ross Legion (64 Forties Road) from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am. Music by: Kevin Davidson Band. Tickets are $15 per person (in advance) at the Legion and $20 per person at the door (if not sold out). Chance to win a new fishing rod & reel! Minimum age 19+ years to enter.
