Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Mayfest BBQ at the Chester Basin Volunteer Fire Department (5430 Hwy 3) from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.  BBQ from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Hot Dogs $2, French Fries $3.50, Onion Rings $3.50, Hamburger $4, Cheeseburger $4.50, Pop $1.50, and Water $1. Raindate: Sunday, May 5. Washrooms available. All proceeds from the BBQ go to the Chester Basin Volunteer Fire Department.
