Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Meet us at the Station for Canada Day for a Celebration and Grand “re” Opening at the Chester Train Station (20 Smith Road) from 4:00 to 8:00 pm – everyone welcome! There will be burgers, fish & chips, refreshments, cake, bouncy castle, games & prizes. There will be the Oak Island Display, Train Museum, Visitors Information Centre, Forman Hawboldt Museum, Caboose, Railway Crossing Gifts and Station Antiques.
