Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. Italian Night at St. Stephen’s Community Centre, 54 Regent Street, Chester starting 6:00 pm. Join us for good food, music and fun at our Italian Night Fundraiser! Enjoy pasta dinner with Caesar salad, garlic bread and a glass of wine, coffee & dessert. Gluten free and vegetarian options available. Adults $20 Children $10.
