About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

What: First Hubbards Author Readings Series with brief readings by award-winning Nova Scotia authors Chris Benjamin, Laura Churchill Duke, Bretton Loney, David Huebert and local author Sarah Mian

Where: Sanctuary St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 10 Shore Club Road, Hubbards

When: Friday evening, Sept 5^th 2025. 7:00 to 9:00

Admission: Free event (*Donations to local food bank welcome)

Includes light refreshments and author signings
