Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Girls Night Out

Girls Nite Out at the Shore Club in Hubbards from 7:00 to 11:00 pm.  Doors open at 6:30 pm. Cost $30 per person.  Tickets are available at Aspotogan Heritage Trust 902-857-1133 or Lola’s Landing 902-858-5652.  The theme this year is “C’Mon Barbie…Let’s Go Party”.  A fantastic fundraising evening all about “the ladies”.  Enjoy a fashion show, prizes, DJ, silent Auction, fabulous food, cash bar and as surprise or two.  All proceeds from this function are donated to various local community groups events.  “Women Helping Women” will be collecting women’s products (shampoo, deodorant, feminine products, etc.) and cash to be donated to the Hubbards Foodbank.
