About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. This is the last of the Free Lunchtime Skates in February from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the Chester Rink for ages 3+. Bring your blades and glide through lunch for some good exercise for the body and mind. All skaters will be required to complete a waiver at their first visit.
