About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Annual Fish’N Chip Rally starting at the Chester Basin Legion. Registration from 7:30 to 10:30 am. Registration Fee $20. Canteen on trail featuring the famous “Fish & Chips”. Download a pre-registration form at www.shoreridersatv.ca. Tire Studs recommended. Nova Scotia OHV Regulations apply. For more info contact Nancy Wentzell 902-624-9552 or Billy Wentzell 902-521-1001. Hosted by the Shore Riders ATV Club. Chester Basin Legion will be hosting a Newfie Breakfast 7:00 to 10:30 am.
