About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Fish Fry at the Hubbards Area Lions Club from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Enjoy delicious, pan-fried haddock with mashed potatoes, baby carrots, coleslaw, homemade tartar sauce, and homemade rolls. Serving gingerbread with whipped cream for dessert. This event is dine-in with take-out available. Please pre-order with Lion Louella at 902-857-9714 no later than Wednesday, January 24 at 6:00 pm. Tea, coffee, cash bar, and 50/50 available with dine-in. Cost for the meal is a donation at the door.
