About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Finding Your Muse with Jennie McGuire at the Chester Art Centre from 9:30 to 12:30 pm. This is a creativity course designed to nudge the seasoned artist into new directions and the beginning artist to take the leap! Through the use of activity cards, interactive and independent projects and visual journaling, we will explore ways to ‘get unstuck’, renew focus, remove fear and move ahead creatively. Cost $175.
