Chester Playhouse is pleased to present a screening of the film "8:37 Rebirth" followed by a conversation with director Juanita Peters.
Juanita Peters newest film, “8:37 Rebirth”, is a “psychological thriller, about hope, redemption and letting go, and follows the story of two teens forever linked by a tragic shooting. With the shared event from their youth changing the trajectory of their lives, things threaten to spin out of control again when they reunite” – Halifax Presents.
Juanita Peters is a multi-award-winning storyteller, writer and director of documentaries including “Hannah’s Story” and “Africville Can’t Stop Now” and television series including “Studio Black” on CBC. Ms. Peters’ career includes more than 15 years as a journalist and she has hosted four seasons of CBC’s documentary series “Doc Side”. Currently Ms. Peters is the Executive Director of the Africville Museum in Halifax.
