About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Festival Craft & Gift Fair at the New Ross Consolidated School (4689 Hwy 12) from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Our popular Festival Fair offers an array of crafts and gift items made by talented artisans and crafters. Light lunch and raffle tickets are available. Free Admission. Sponsored by Heritage Canada.
