F.E. Butler,Branch 44 Royal Canadian Legion, Chester Remembrance Day

F.E. Butler, Branch 44 Royal Canadian Legion, Chester Remembrance Day – due to the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions in place by the Provincial Government, the November 11 Remembrance Day Ceremony will be greatly reduced at the Cenotaph in Chester this year.  Unfortunately, we will only be allowing INVITED GUESTS to be present in the marked off area of the Cenotaph at 11:00 am (invited guests will include Legion members and other personnel directly involved in the ceremony).  We are asking the general public to please ‘stay the blazes home’ and pause for two minutes at 11:00 am to reflect on what our Veterans, both past and present, have sacrificed for the peace and security of Canada.  Maybe stand on your deck, in your driveway, by the roadside, or fly a Canadian Flag and don’t forget to watch for the annual Fly-by.  Wreaths, previously purchased, will either be laid prior to the ceremony, or individuals may come later in the day to lay their wreath or place a poppy at the Cenotaph.

This is a third party event and has not been verified by the Municipality.
