About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Father’s Day Drive Thru Take-Out Only Fish & Chips at the Chester Basin Fire Department (5430 Hwy 3) from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm. Cost $16 for 2-piece Fish & Chips. Pre-order by June 19 by texting or calling Melanie 902-298-1799 or Darlene 902-204-2201. Limited amount of drop in orders available.
