About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Fashion Show & Sale with Tea & Dessert at the Aenon Baptist Church (#57 Hwy 12) Chester Basin from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Fashion by "She's Got Leggz"! Advance tickets $5 each or $7 at the door. To purchase tickets, contact Paulette Countway 902-275-4952 or email: pcountway@eastlink.ca or other Church members. Proceeds include a portion of sales in support of the Chair Lift.
