About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. Easter Family Fun at Haughn Natural Area (4952 Hwy 3, Chester Basin) from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Take a self-guided hike through the trail as you search for colorful wooden eggs hidden along the way. Find them all to reveal a secret message. Solve it correctly to earn a sweet Easter treat. No baskets needed. Enjoy Hot Chocolate & Cookies after your hike. Register by calling the Municipality of Chester Recreation & Parks office at 902-275-3490 or email: recreation@chester.ca. Drop-ins welcome.
