About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Lost Down Memory Lane…Dance & Show Music of the 50s, 60s, & 70s at the Chester Legion from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Doors open 6:30 pm. The Band…Hank Middleton, Steward Franck, Dylan Haines, Ron Morrison, Michael Watson. The Singers…Cynthia Myers, Patricia Watson and Sharon Jackson. Curbside Eats will be there for your dining pleasure. Costumes encouraged! Tickets: $20 Advance, $25 at the door. Tickets are available at the Chester Legion Bar or through Erin (gore275@eastlink.ca). Buy 8 advance tickets to reserve a table – contact Erin. Storm date: Sunday, March 8.
