About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Crib Tournament at the Forties Community Centre (1787 Forties Road, New Ross). Doors open 12:00 noon. Registration at 12:30 pm and play starts at 1:00 pm. Cost: $20 / team. Must be 19 years or older. Canteen available. Wheelchair accessible (ground level). For more info call 902-689-2147.
