Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. COFFEE every Monday at the Hubbards Area Lions Club (except March 13). Enjoy a full breakfast, breakfast sandwich or one of our yummy homemade baked pastries with juice, tea, or coffee. Please note our Winter hours are 9:00 to 11:00 am. Cost is a donation at the door.
