Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Christmas Bazaar at the District #1 Community Centre, Blandford (30 Firehall Road) from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. Bake Table, Handwork, Raffle Basket, Books, Guess the Weight of the Cake Contest. Free Admission! Lunch is a Bowl of Soup with a Roll (squash, corn chowder, beef barley or hamburger) and dessert for $12. Sponsored by the St. Barnabas Ladies Guild.
