Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Chester Village “Christmas Tree Lighting” at the Bandstand (3 Parade Square Road, Chester) starting 6:30 pm.  It takes a Village to celebrate such a wonderful event. Featuring:  CAMS Christmas Carollers, CDS Choir Sings, Freeze Dance Fun with EnPointe Studio, Santa & Mrs. Claus will be there and Treat Truck Hot Chocolate & a Cookie for $2.  Big thanks to Chester Garden Club, Chester Merchants, Friends of Chester Competitive Dancers, Municipality of Chester, SeaAndBeScene.com, Stretch Diner, Tina Connors, Village Commission of Chester and Wells Lamey Mailman & Bryson.
