Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Chester Playhouse 50/50 Online Raffle

The Chester Playhouse along with several other Nova Scotia Theatres have rallied together to host a weekly online 50/50 Raffle. The Show Must Go On! Help Chester Playhouse as they work to renovate and restore their 83-year-old Theatre, and enter to win half of each weeks jackpot. Ticket sales end weekly on Wednesday and a winner is drawn each Thursday at 11 am. So far there have been 4 winners from Chester. Go to www.chesterplayhouse.ca for more details.
