About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Chester Legion Casino Night at the Legion (14 Union Street) from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. This is a fundraiser for paving the parking lot. Entry: $50 gives you $75 in chips & one drink ticket. Rebuy: $25 gives you $50 in chips. Bar available. Prizes to be won! There are 6 Blackjack tables, 1 Roulette table, 1 Dice table, and 1 Plinko game. At the end of the play, trade in chips for tickets. $10 worth of chips equals one ticket. Place tickets in jars for prizes for your chance to win.
