About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Chester Garden Club welcomes Kiki Jabbour to speak on “Vegetable Gardening In A Changing Climate” at St. Stephen’s Parish Hall (54 Regent Street, Chester) starting 7:00 pm. Niki’s program will highlight the eight strategies on how we as gardeners can mitigate these issues in our gardens. The challenges of climate change, drought, flooding, invasive insects and more.
