Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Chester Garden Club AGM & Create a Seasonal Centrepiece

Come and Create a Seasonal Centrepiece of your choice at St. Stephen’s Parish Hall (54 Regent Street, Chester), 6:30 for 7:00 pm. Sponsored by the Chester Garden Club.  The AGM starts at 7:00 pm and a short general meeting to follow.  At 8:00 pm there is Creative Seasonal Designs.  Bring your own supplies with some to share.  The creative process is often enhanced by working together!  Import Notice: The Bandstand Decorating will take place on November 23 at 11:00 am.  Many hands make light work.  Bring your own tools and twine.  Lunch Social may take place after the hanging of the greens.  Please bring something to add to the table for lunch.  Looking forward to seeing our new members as well.  Guests welcome.  Please come and join in on the fun.
