Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Chester Basin Volunteer Fire Department Mayfest BBQ at the Fire Hall, 4826 Hwy 3, Marriott’s Cove from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.  Raindate:  Sunday, May 8.  We are selling:  Hotdog $1.50, French Fries $3.00, Onion Rings $3.00, Hamburger $3.50, Cheeseburger $4.00, Pop/Water $1.00.  All proceeds from the BBQ go to the Fire Department.
