About the Municipality of Chester

From Hubbards to Martins River and inland to New Ross and Sherwood, Our Municipality of Chester is the gateway to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

For ease of exploring we've broken down our Municipality into five main areas.

Located in Kespukwitk (Lands End) district of Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. The Municipality acknowledges the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed and recognizes that we are all Treaty People. We acknowledge the responsibility to deeply engage and move forward with the work of truth, reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Chester Art Centre Presents…Hunky Dory Do – our Annual Summer Fundraising Party at the Art Centre, 60 Queen Street. Music, Delicious Food, Open Bar, Live & Silent Auction. Join us at 5:30 pm for cocktails and preview the selected paintings by Nova Scotia Folk Artist Joe Norris as collected by John Risley on behalf of CFFI Ventures Inc.
