Wildfire Prevention Measures – Restrictions on Activities in the Woods.

Nova Scotia has restricted activities in the woods and banned open fires. Restrictions are in place as of August 5 at 4pm until October 15, or until the Province lifts the restrictions. There is a $25,000 fine for violating these restrictions.

Canada Day Celebration at the Western Shore Legion.  Dollar Auction upstairs from 12:00 noon till 3:00 pm – ALL NEW ITEMS – something for everyone. All tickets for the Auction are 10 for $1.  Auction preview Friday, June 30 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and ticket sale, for those who can’t make Canada Day.  There will be a cake walk, 50/50, lotto tree, and other games of chance.  FREE hotdogs upstairs during the Auction.  FREE Face Painting for the children July 1.  Canteen available.  Evening Canada Day Bingo.  FREE Bingo markers for the Bingo players.  FREE hotdogs for the Bingo players.  Canteen available.  Doors open at 5:30 pm and Bingo starts 7:00 pm.  Bingo Prizes will be tiered so the more players we get, the higher the prize board.
